I changed the synthesizer's ranges and played a bit with reaktor's structures until i realized i was playing with the frequency range. The result is a radically different sound that sounds more like a machine.

Kinda sounds like a giant evil feline purring, it's me making a machine gun noise and slowing it down.

70's era korg univox sr-120 drum machine driven through gap-pre73 preamp sent through joe meek c2 optical compressor sent through aphex compellor compressor, limiter and aural exiter, recorded via sony pcm-d50. I think the univox is broken because i can't get any other sounds than tom-toms and claves from it.

Upper harmonics created by a jackhammer operated in wellington city, new zealand (jackhammer sounds filtered out). Jackhammer was clearing debris in the cbd after an earthquake. Recorded with a tascam dr-44wl.

Studio recordings of handling a small metal mechanical device for foley purposes. Originally used to foley handling sounds of a tattoo machine, but could also be used for guns, surgical instruments etc. Recorded with an at-4047/sv large-diaphragm condenser mic. In this clip, i am handling the device, producing diverse clinks and ratcheting sounds.

Could be used with other machinery sounds to create more of a realistic factory environment. Also creates a perfect loop.

This is a sound of mine that i made, it's a washing machine on a fast spin, it sounds rather like an old british style diesel train at speed. I used my canon power shot a460 camera video to film the washing machine in action and simply took the sound from the video. After many years of 'lurking' on this website and downloading and using sounds for my projects, i am happy to hopefully contribute something useful to this site. I am not a professional audio tech or anything related, but i do own a zoom h5 recorder and had to make some recordings for one of my multimedia projects. This recording was made at the harbour of scheveningen, the netherlands on february 7th around 22. 00 pm.

This is audio i recorded of my husband using his ten year old decrepit constant positive air pressure sleeping machine. I was trying to convince him that he needed a new one. The variety of sounds he and it managed to make is extraordinary. The intermittent beeping is the machine's warning sound. When i played it for him he cried laughing. I hope you find it useful for something. You'll be please to know his new machine is whisper quiet.

Whatamidoing is an experiment i did where i tried to run a drum machine through a multiosc synth, switching presets on the synth to change the sound. While it offered me brief entertainment, there's not much i have done with these sounds. Perhaps they will serve you better than i.

This is a sound of a pepsi bottle being opened. I guess the strange skin-twisting sounds was the skin on the hands that where holding the bottle and the bottle-cap while twisting. This made for an amazing futuristic machinery sound.

Samples of the vintage korg mini pops 45 drum machine. No processing applied here but a very gentle fft based noise reduction. After all, i figured background noise was part of the machine's sonic identity. No patterns here, since that would have taken forever, just the individual sounds. Defibrillator charging and then discharging. I created this for a video i am working on. I searched but was unable to find what i was looking for, so i created this sound using a combination of an old camera flash charging and a thump which was created by slapping a foam pad.
